This 3-day course focuses on the policy and procedures that govern non-residential relocation.  Students will learn how to assist a business or nonprofit organization to successfully relocate to a new location.  Case studies will focus on reimbursement for move and reestablishment expenses.  Students will learn about Ohio's Economic Loss and Loss of Goodwill payment provisions and about the fixed payment option to businesses.

In previous years, this course was approved by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing for 2.5 hours of continuing education credit in Appraisal and 7.5 hours of continuing education credit in Real Estate.  The CE credit hours for 2025 are currently pending Commerce department review and approval.

Prerequisite – Relocation 101.

Who Should Attend? – This course offering through LTAP is intended primarily for ODOT employees, local agency employees (county, city, village and township), and real estate consultants doing work for ODOT or local agencies in Ohio.

Instructor – Travis Missler, ODOT Office of Real Estate.

Registration Information – Registrations are processed in the order they are submitted online, while seats are still available.  The registration fee is $50 per person.  Lunch is “on your own”.  Any registrant requiring a reasonable accommodation during training (i.e., mobility or access) should contact Ohio LTAP prior to the course date so the appropriate arrangements can be made.  If you are sick or not feeling well, please DO NOT attend the course. If you need to cancel your registration, please contact the LTAP office.

FHWAOHDIV - Code to be used by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Division Staff only when registering for LTAP courses.  Provides the FHWA LTAP discount on the course price.

ODOTEMPL - Code that must be used by ALL ODOT employees when registering for a course. Do not enter payment information or request an invoice.  If you are an ODOT employee, you MUST use this code unless the class is a NHI self-pay course.  See below.

PAYBYCHECK - ODOT EMPLOYEE ATTENDING A NHI-SELF-PAY COURSE - Use code PAYBYCHECK if you are an ODOT employee.  Then enter your Divison, Cost Center and SAC number in the designated field on the registration form.

PAYBYCHECK - This code should be entered when you want the Ohio LTAP Center to bill you for the course fee instead of paying immediately online via credit card.  Once your registration is completed with this code, an invoice for the amount due will be sent to you, due upon receipt.
