Part of the course will be in a classroom and part of the course will be in the field walking, so please dress comfortably for being outside.

Description: This workshop is a train-the-trainer course to teach communities how to deliver a walk audit and apply technical expertise to a particular project or corridor in order to document needed improvements. The participants will examine data and other information pertinent to their community’s walking and biking conditions, and conduct a walk audit along a predetermined route so that they may experience the built environment from a pedestrian’s perspective. The participants will complete the course having learned how to collect and analyze information on the walking and biking needs in their community. Part of the course will be in a classroom and part of the course will be in the field walking, so please dress comfortably for being outside.

Registration Information – There is no charge to attend this training; however, participants must pre-register.  No meals are provided; lunch is “on your own”.  Registrations are processed in the order they are submitted online, while seats are still available.  Any registrant requiring a reasonable accommodation during training (i.e., mobility or access) should contact Ohio LTAP prior to the course date so the appropriate arrangements can be made.  If you are sick or not feeling well, please DO NOT attend the session.  If you need to cancel your registration, please contact the LTAP office.

Promo Code Information

The promo codes below apply to specific groups of class participants.  Please ONLY use a code if it applies to you.  If you are not certain if it applies, please contact the Ohio LTAP Center at ltap@dot.ohio.gov or 614-387-7359 or 1-877-800-0031.  Do not randomly select a promo code and use it.  Your registration will be reviewed by the center registrar and cancelled if you have used a code which did not apply to you.

FHWAOHDIV - Code to be used by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Division Staff only when registering for LTAP courses.  Provides the FHWA LTAP discount on the course price.

ODOTEMPL - Code that must be used by ALL ODOT employees when registering for a course. Do not enter payment information or request an invoice.  If you are an ODOT employee, you MUST use this code unless the class is a NHI self-pay course.  See below.

PAYBYCHECK - ODOT EMPLOYEE ATTENDING A NHI-SELF-PAY COURSE - Use code PAYBYCHECK if you are an ODOT employee.  Then enter your Divison, Cost Center and SAC number in the designated field on the registration form.

PAYBYCHECK - This code should be entered when you want the Ohio LTAP Center to bill you for the course fee instead of paying immediately online via credit card.  Once your registration is completed with this code, an invoice for the amount due will be sent to you, due upon receipt.
