Description – This workshop supports communities with delivering a walk audit and applying technical expertise to a particular project or corridor in order to document needed improvements. The course will highlight recent walk audit examples led by Delaware Public Health District in collaboration with MORPC. Through this hands-on workshop, the course provides assistance to communities to assess current conditions for walking in certain neighborhoods or along particular corridors through a combination of interactive classroom and field activities.

Trainers – Katie O’Lone, AICP - Planning Group Manager, Toole Design; and  and Dan Schmuhl, PE - Senior Transportation Engineer, Burton Planning Services.

Registration Information – There is no charge to attend this training; however, participants must pre-register.  No meals are provided; lunch is “on your own”.  Registrations are processed in the order they are submitted online, while seats are still available.  Any registrant requiring a reasonable accommodation during training (i.e., mobility or access) should contact Ohio LTAP prior to the course date so the appropriate arrangements can be made.  If you are sick or not feeling well, please DO NOT attend the session.  If you need to cancel your registration, please contact the LTAP office.

Promo Code Information

The promo codes below apply to specific groups of class participants.  Please ONLY use a code if it applies to you.  If you are not certain if it applies, please contact the Ohio LTAP Center at ltap@dot.ohio.gov or 614-387-7359 or 1-877-800-0031.  Do not randomly select a promo code and use it.  Your registration will be reviewed by the center registrar and cancelled if you have used a code which did not apply to you.

FHWAOHDIV - Code to be used by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Division Staff only when registering for LTAP courses.  Provides the FHWA LTAP discount on the course price.

ODOTEMPL - Code that must be used by ALL ODOT employees when registering for a course. Do not enter payment information or request an invoice.  If you are an ODOT employee, you MUST use this code unless the class is a NHI self-pay course.  See below.

PAYBYCHECK - ODOT EMPLOYEE ATTENDING A NHI-SELF-PAY COURSE - Use code PAYBYCHECK if you are an ODOT employee.  Then enter your Divison, Cost Center and SAC number in the designated field on the registration form.

PAYBYCHECK - This code should be entered when you want the Ohio LTAP Center to bill you for the course fee instead of paying immediately online via credit card.  Once your registration is completed with this code, an invoice for the amount due will be sent to you, due upon receipt.
